VEX Robotics

In 8th grade my Girl Scout troop received a grant to participate in VEX Robotics, so my troop decided to try it out. We came into this project with no experience, and those who were passionate remained and learned a great deal. We competed for 5 years and each year we tried something new out. I lead the design and mechanical aspect of the team. We also worked to promote other girls to participate in STEM. We held sessions teaching young girls how to build parts of the robot and letting them play with our robot.
