Home Plate- Virtual Enterprise

Virtual Enterprise is a course in which the class develops a virtual company to engage with other classrooms also involved in this simulation of a business model. In my second year of this class, we created Home Plate, a meal-kit subscription service. I was selected to take the role of CEO. As the CEO, I learned a lot about all of the aspects in starting up a business, financial, marketing, IT and design, sales, and human resources. I had to create a company atmosphere, help resolve problems, and keep track of everyone's productivity levels. I built leadership skills when my company was slacking off and I made organizational changes to get the company back on task. I gave several presentations including an elevator pitch and a business plan.
